Rony was born on March 27, 1987 in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. As a Dominican descendent, he was raised by his grandparents who inculcated him the values that impelled further on his dedication to continue his education and love for arts and sports.
He carries in his blood the passion, the charisma and the flavor of what identifies him as a Latino. He grew up inside of a hostile environment, but always had in his mind and heart that someday he would make something positive to change his life and his surroundings. While in Elementary School, he joined his first Arts Program.
His dance, music and athletic skills continued growing while attending middle and high school. In 2003, at the age of 16, he became a Dance Instructor at the academy of refinement and modeling of ex-miss universe Joyce Giraud. He graduated from High School in 2005 and joined the biology education program of the Inter-American University Cupey, in Puerto Rico (P.R.). While in school, he became the sub captain of the university dance team. In 2007 he was hired as the director of the Hip Hop in D’Kala Dance Studio in Carolina, P.R. In 2009 he had the honor to train a group of six young people, who participated in one of the most popular dance competitions of the United States “Americas Best Dance Crew season 5”.
In 2010 he trained another group of young talented people and helped them get positioned as the best juvenile team of Puerto Rico classifying in the world’s cup of Hip-Hop dance in 2011. His growing experience and reputation helped him get more dance teams ready, to the point that one of them qualified for the International event “Project Dance London”. Rony also had the opportunity to choreograph for television and well known Latino artists such as, Hector The Father, Niurca Marcos, Vico C, among others. Rony is currently Zumba® certified and has finished getting trained on “dance & fitness” with Vanessa at RhythmX while teaching high energy Latin Hip-Hop classes.
This is another step of journey to become more knowledgeable and diversified into the Hip-Hop field.
